Policy Statement
To facilitate the effectiveness and efficiency of operations during emergencies and adverse conditions (e.g., pandemics, inclement weather, etc.), the President shall have the authority to adopt temporary policies or to amend or suspend existing policies for the duration of the emergent event. If the President is unable to exercise this authority, the liaison to the Board of Trustees shall have the authority to perform these duties in the interim. The President or the liaison to the Board of Trustees to the President shall report the exercise of such authority to the Board of Trustees within three (3) business days of the action or as soon as practical thereafter.
Definition
Business Days – For the purposes of this policy, “business days” are days, Monday through Friday, when the College is operating, with the exception of holidays that the College typically observes in accordance with the Employee Holidays policy.
