Substance Use Treatment (Continuing Education)
Short Term
Completion of all three courses fulfills the 270 educational/training hours required by the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB) for initial certification or renewal as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. This course can also be used to fulfill certain requirements to become a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist for persons with a Master's or other advanced degree in a human services field. Prerequisites:
- Must be at least 18 years old, and
- Proof of High School Diploma or high school equivalency
- Course III requires completion of Substance Use Treatment I and II (for students with less than a Master’s degree).
