2025 Durham Tech Student Art Exhibition

The Durham Tech AFA program and Viva the Arts on Campus invite you to participate in the 2025 Durham Tech Student Art Exhibition!  

Art on View: April 14 - May 8, 2025
Main Campus Library (Building 5) and D. Thomas Jaynes Art Gallery (Building 10)

Opening Reception: April 15, 2025, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Participation

Participation in the 2025 Student Art Exhibition is open to any currently enrolled Durham Tech student. Please see additional guidelines and complete the 2025 Student Art Exhibition Form for each work of art submitted.

Please submit all forms and drop off all artwork no later than Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

Artwork Guidelines

  1. Original 2D and 3D work created solely by the submitting artist will be accepted. Examples of media include painting, drawing, sculpture, assemblage, photography, printmaking, digital art, graphic design, etc.
  2. Work completed as part of an art or trades class at Durham Tech or work completed while enrolled in any class at Durham Tech will be accepted.
  3. Artists may submit multiple pieces.
  4. Maximum allowable size without prior approval: 36" x 48"
  5. All 2D work must be exhibition ready (framed, matted, or ready to hang) and professionally presented. Please contact us if you need assistance.
     

Awards

The 2025 exhibition will be juried by members of the Viva the Arts on Campus Committee and an AFA alumni guest juror. Award winners will receive cash prizes:    

  • 1st Place Award: $500
  • 2nd Place Award: $300
  • 3rd Place Award: $200
  • People's Choice Award: $200
