This program is designed to create a standardized framework for supervisors to work at Durham Tech. It uses a humanistic approach aligned with the Durham Tech learning competencies involving not only the operational aspects of being a supervisor but also the other aspects that include social, intellectual and practical skills required to be a supervisor.
Program Objectives
- Ensure that supervisors are prepared holistically to supervise people.
- Clarify supervisor tasks.
- Articulate supervisor standards at Durham Tech.
- Differentiate between managing and leading.
- Share ideas and experiences to improve themselves, their employees, and their departments.
- Improve communication at all levels.

Participants completing all the workshops in the series will earn a badge reflecting the competencies they have gained.
