The budget adopted tonight by the Orange County Commissioners maintains Orange County’s commitment to public higher education. It ensures that residents will have access to scholarships for degrees and workforce credentials, high-quality faculty and staff, small-business development services, and apprenticeship opportunities with local companies. Durham Tech has seen significant growth in Orange County in the past year and the approved budget supports the College’s role as a pathway to great universities and careers in areas like health care, the skilled trades, IT, advanced manufacturing, and the life sciences.
