Durham Tech launches new free mental health resource for students
Durham Technical Community College has launched a new comprehensive counseling support service at the College that provides students with free behavioral and mental health resources.
Durham Tech is partnering with Campus Christie Health to provide around-the-clock support for students as a part of a new Be Well at Durham Tech service.
Be Well at Durham Tech provides students with a 24/7 free mental health support line with licensed counselors as well as free telehealth or off campus face-to-face counseling sessions.
“While Durham Tech counselors will still be available during regular campus hours, knowing these added supports are just a call away whenever and wherever you need it makes life a little less stressful,” said Karen Mosley-Lyon, Counseling, Accessibility, and Resources Coordinator.
Be Well at Durham Tech is offered 365 days a year.
Students are able to receive services regardless of their location – in-state or internationally.
Health insurance is not required for services.
To access the free 24/7 mental health support line, call 833-434-1217.
Any currently enrolled Durham Tech student who would like more information can contact Karen Mosley-Lyon at mosleylyonk@durhamtech.edu.
