60 for 60: In 2006, Dental Lab Technology recognized as one of top three programs in nation

In celebration of Durham Technical Community College’s 60th anniversary, the College is publishing 60 for 60 – a storytelling campaign that highlights the people, places, and events that have progressed and shaped the College’s six decades of impact. In July 2006, the Dental Laboratory Technology program at Durham Tech was recognized by the National Association of Dental Laboratories as one of the Top Three Dental Educational Programs in the country.

Top honors went to schools that used innovative teaching methods to inspire and educate the future leaders of the industry. 

Michael Patrick was the program director at Durham Tech at that time. The other two programs were at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and Pasadena City College in California.
