G Yamazawa wearing hooded jacketG Yamazawa, renowned spoken word artist, Durham native, and former Durham Tech student will share his poetry and discuss issues of Japanese-American identity and growing up in Durham. G Yamazawa was named National Poetry Slam Champion in 2014. This event is open to the public!

That evening, he will also perform at The Pinhook (117 W. Main St., Durham). Doors open at 7 p.m. Show at 8 p.m. Tickets $10 in advance, $12 at door.
