SAB-3029A Substance Use Treatment I
Substance Use Treatment I is one of three courses in the Substance Use Treatment Program. This course, which includes 6 hours of ethics, will focus on the 12 core functions and ethics of substance use treatment, providing students with information and resources necessary to assist individuals in any substance use work capacity. Completion of all three courses fulfills the 270 educational/training hours required by the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB) for initial certification or renewal as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). This course can also be used to fulfill certain requirements to become a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) for persons with a Master's or other advanced degree in a human services field.
