SEF-30036 Medical Coding Exam Prep Bootcamp

The class prepare students who elect to sit for certification exams offered by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and/or the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Learn to apply coding principles to correctly assign diagnosis codes, physician codes, and hospital procedural codes. Since students must meet the respective organization's examination criteria, practical experience is recommended prior to sitting for these certification exams. Prerequisites: 1) Completion of Medical Coding I course at Durham Tech or another college; AND 2) Completion of Medical Coding II course at Durham Tech or another college; AND 3) Completion of Terminology for A&P course at Durham Tech or another college.
