FLI-3717AT Intermediate Heritage Spanish
This intermediate course is designed specifically for native or heritage speakers of Spanish with oral proficiency but little or no formal training in the language. Generally, these are learners who were raised in homes where Spanish was spoken. Students will develop increased competence in the oral and written standard varieties of Spanish in a context that focuses on the particular needs and strengths of heritage learners. Students will strengthen vocabulary, spelling, and grammar skills while learning about cultural diversity and increasing their professional language skills. Students must take a placement test before enrolling. This course is taught in a hybrid format with a combination of in-person and online instruction.
