Courses

This beginning course is designed for students with little or no previous experience with the Japanese language. Students will develop basic skills necessary for understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Japanese as well as learn about Japanese culture and history. Students will learn basic language skills to communicate about themselves, their families, likes and dislikes, and daily activities using simple, formulaic sentences and questions. Students will also be introduced to the Japanese writing system.
