Registering for Courses

Fall Semester 2015 classes begin Monday, August 17. The Fall Semester 2015 Credit Schedule of courses is available on the schedules web page in the form of pdfs, or by using WebAdvisor Section Search.

Preparing for Registration

Students who submit all required admissions forms, financial aid paperwork, and transcripts by March 15 get priority enrollment status. Students who meet the due date can expect to be admitted to the college, have transcripts evaluated in time to attend the new student orientation, and have the option to charge tuition and books to financial aid (if eligible for an award) at the beginning of general registration for new students. Your advisor can help you develop a plan for how to meet your academic goals and provide you with access to our web registration (WebAdvisor) system. Please see the Academic Advising section for more information. All students must be cleared by their academic advisor prior to registration. It is strongly recommended that you see your advisor early.

Early Registration

Early registration is reserved for continuing students who have been admitted to a program as of Spring 2015 or prior and have enrolled in courses during at least one of the past three semesters. Eligibility is determined by credit hours completed by the start of the early registration period. 

Early registration for eligible students with 35 or more credit hours begins: July 6

Early registration for eligible students with 17 or more credit hours begins: July 8

Early registration for eligible students with 4 or more credit hours begins: July 10

Early registration for eligible students with fewer than 4 credit hours begins: July 14


General Registration

During general registration, all advised students can add courses to their schedule using WebAdvisor, Durham Tech’s online system for student information and services.

Open registration for all advised students: July 16 – August 16*

Waitlist function available: July 6 – August 13

Registration is available through WebAdvisor all day except from 1–1:10 a.m. for daily maintenance and Fridays from 6–8 a.m. for weekly maintenance. WebAdvisor will remain available for schedule adjustments until Sunday, August 16.

*Ensure you are able to log into WebAdvisor prior to the end of the registration period. If you are unable to access WebAdvisor and require registration assistance, visit the Admissions and Enrollment Services office in the Wynn Center, room 1200, or the front desk at the Orange County Campus by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 14.

Tuition and Fees Payment Deadlines

Full payment of tuition and fees is due according to the schedule below. During the week before classes start, full payment is due daily. If you do not pay on time, your courses will be de-registered and made available for other students.

If you register the week that begins July 6 or July 13, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. July 19.
If you register the week that begins July 20 or July 27, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. August 2.
If you register the week that begins Monday, August 3, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. August 9.
If you register August 10 or 11, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. August 11.
If you register August 12 or 13, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. August 13.
If you register August 14–16, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. August 16.

Payments may be made online through WebAdvisor all day except from 1 – 1:10 a.m. for daily maintenance and Fridays from 6 – 8 a.m. for weekly maintenance. Payment may also be made in person at the Cashier’s Window (White Building entrance foyer, Main Campus), from .
