This course is designed for the do-it-yourself homeowners, individuals wanting to hire a professional, and those interested in becoming an interior decorator or real estate stager. Topics covered include design, planning, color selection, paint techniques, furniture, fabric, lighting, and accessories. While students learn how to handle and complete do-it-yourself projects, more training is needed to become an interior designer. 102 hours. $184

Basic Principals of Interior Design and Decorating

This introductory course covers the basic principles of interior design and decorating. Topics include design flow, organization, and space planning, as well as selecting color and paint techniques, furniture, fabric, lighting, and accessories. 24 hours. $88. Self-supporting course; no tuition waivers or exemptions allowed.
