Automotive Systems Technology - Drivetrain Certificate

Short Term

Students can earn their Drivetrain Certificate in two semesters. Coursework covers operation, diagnosis, and repair of manual transmissions/transaxles, clutches, driveshafts, axles, and final drives.

Graduates are prepared to enter careers as entry-level technicians in the transportation industry.

National Institute for Automotive Service ExcellenceThe Automotive Systems Technology program is accredited by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

Job demand is very high for the Durham-Chapel Hill region and is reflected in above average salaries. Nearly 100% of graduates find immediate employment upon completing the program.
