CQ Researcher
This database explores a single "hot" issue in the news each week. Topics range from social and teen issues to environment, health, education, and science and technology. There are 44 reports produced each year including four expanded reports.

eHRAF Collection of Ethnography
The eHRAF Collection of Ethnography is a unique cross-cultural database with full-text ethnographies that are subject-indexed at the paragraph-level for precise retrieval of information on all aspects of cultural and social life. These materials are relevant to the various social science disciplines as well as the humanities and health sciences.

eHRAF instructions
eHRAF's subject retrieval system allows for "conceptual" rather than "keyword" searches as the full text is indexed with 3-digit subject codes. For example, you can search the concept "mythology" more effectively by using the subject code "773" rather than words. To find the subject codes, log on to the ethnographic database and click on the blue "browse" tab, then "browse subjects" (left-hand margin), and then "browse subject categories" (left-hand margin). Select a subject code from over 700 diverse topics and read its description. You may also print the list of subject codes. To search for ethnographic information on a particular subject code, click on the blue "search" tab, type in the 3-digit number in the "OCM Subject Codes" box and click on "Search." The database will then search all the indexed ethnographic documents and cultures for the topic that you have selected. For more information on how to search this database, please view the "eHRAF Tutorial" or the "Search Methods, Tips, and Examples" section at www.yale.edu/hraf/userguides.html.
