COE 110  World of Work

This course covers basic knowledge necessary for gaining and maintaining employment. Topics include job search skills, work ethic, meeting employer expectations, workplace safety, and human relations. Upon completion, students should be able to make a successful transition from school to work.

This course provides work experience with a college-approved employer in an area related to the student's program of study. Emphasis is on integrating classroom learning with related work experience. Upon completion, students should be able to evaluate career selection, demonstrate employability skills, and satisfactorily perform work-related competencies.

COE 121  Automotive Co-Op Work Experience II

This course provides the second opportunity to get work experience with a college-approved employer in an area related to the student's program of study.

The DTCC Automotive Program requires two Co-Op work experiences to total 320 hours of work experience in an automotive setting.  Emphasis is on integrating classroom learning with related work experience. Upon completion, students should be able to evaluate career selection, demonstrate employability skills, and satisfactorily perform work-related competencies.
