The Small Business Center regularly presents a variety of entrepreneurship  courses on small business management topics. Classes usually meet one evening per week for 3-10 weeks. Use the Continuing Education and Corporate Education Registration Form to register for the following courses.

Before taking ANY of the following computer courses, you should have a basic understanding of your computer’s operating system. For example, you should know how to launch an application, create and save files, and copy files from CDs and other media. Students should bring a memory stick to save their work from computer classes.

Intro to QuickBooks Pro – $79

The fastest, easiest way to manage your business! This introduction to one of the most popular small business accounting applications tracks general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and checking accounts and provides easy-to-use reporting features. 12 hours.

Notary
Electronic Notary (e-notary) – $90

People with a valid N.C. notary public commission may take the Electronic Notary (e-notary) class. Students must present their notary number from the N.C. Secretary of State’s office. Textbook included. (Because this course is self-supporting, no tuition waivers or exemptions are allowed.) 5 hours.

Register with care as refunds and transfers are not accepted. N.C. Secretary of State requires all candidates to speak, read, and write in English and present a valid government picture ID to be admitted to class. Students should arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of class for check-in. See www.sosnc.com for additional requirements.

Notary Public – $95

The REAL Entrepreneur: How To Start and Build Your Own Business – $149

Want to stand above the crowd and be a business success in this tough economy? This class is for existing business owners and fast-start new entrepreneurs who want to be successful and earn a six-figure net income within three years. Understand the strategic steps required to make your business more profitable, and then write your draft business plan.
