Language Skills for Non-Native English Speakers – Oral Communication Intensive – $135

In this first course of a series, learn oral and listening skills necessary to succeed in American professional and educational environments. Students use combined skills in various activities, including interviews, reports, oral presentations, and listening to academic lectures while taking notes. Students must have a minimum of an intermediate level of academic English proficiency and must commit to completing all out-of-class assignments on schedule. Textbooks required. 48 hours.

Language Skills for Non-Native English Speakers – Reading Intensive – $135

Learn reading strategies necessary to succeed in American professional and educational environments. During this first course in a series, students write responses and summaries and learn vocabulary and word forms while reading a novel and academic articles. Students must have a minimum of an intermediate level of academic English proficiency and must commit to completing all out-of-class assignments on schedule. Textbooks required. 48 hours.

TOEFL Preparation (Test of English as a Foreign Language) – $179

This course assists students in preparing for the TOEFL iBT. Students review listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Diagnostic pre-tests, post-tests, and full-length practice tests are given. This course is recommended for students who have a high intermediate or advanced level of English language proficiency, both oral and written. Textbook required. 66 hours.
