| Emergency Medical Technician

If you have little or no medical experience, this is the right course to introduce you to emergency pre-hospital care. Upon completion of this course, you will be proficient in providing emergency care at the basic level. Schedule includes some Saturday sessions held at the Orange County Campus. Registration is $175 unless exempt (must provide proof of affiliation). No exemptions are allowed for the additional $25 supply fee, $15 FISDAP fee, $3.50 CPR card fee, $17.35 insurance fee, and $4 CAPS fee. Preregistration and books are required. | EMT Basic to Paramedic Bridge - $864.35

This course follows the North Carolina curriculum and bridges the Emergency Medical Technician Basic training to the Paramedic, while allowing for students to optionally test for the Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate credential after completion of the first semester. For prerequisites please visit EMT Frequently Asked Questions. The Intermediate class has 176 hours of classroom instruction, minimum of 130 hours of clinical/field instruction. The Paramedic class has 408 hours of classroom instruction, minimum of 600 hours of clinical/field instruction. Registration is $175.00 for each semester, unless exempt. Proof of affiliation must be provided at time of registration each semester. A CAPS fee of $4.00 per semester, supply fee of $200.00, an $80.00 FISDAP account fee, a $25.00 uniform shirt fee, a $5.00 ACLS card fee, and a $17.35 insurance fee are not exempt and non-refundable.
