(Durham, N.C.) – Durham Technical Community College has developed JobsNOW, short-term training that can be completed in six months or less to prepare residents to meet employment needs in Durham and Orange counties. The initiative, created by Gov. Beverly Perdue, is a collaborative effort by the state’s community colleges and the N.C. Department of Commerce. These grant funds will be used to provide training in occupational areas that are in high demand in Durham Tech’s service area of Durham and Orange counties.
