Part-time Continuing Education Instructors Employment Openings

Instructors should have experience teaching and/or training adult students. Some positions require specific experience and/or credentials. Teaching experience in an online/virtual environment is preferred for some positions. All positions are hourly and part-time. Licensed Esthetician Instructor Substitute
Phlebotomy (current certification and five years work experience)

Hospitality instructor: The instructor will be responsible for developing curriculum and teaching students the START Program developed by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.  This program will train and certify students for employment in the hotel and lodging industry including front desk, customer service, reservationist, PBX operator, restaurant, and banquet server.
Some of the activities and operations will include participating in the implementation of this program, proctoring certification exams, and teaching the program with up to 15 students per program for 15-20 hours per week.
Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a relevant Hospitality and Tourism related subject.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience in Hotel Operations industry.
  • 2 – 3 years of teaching experience.
  • Possess knowledge of hotel management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, Delphi, or Opera computer systems.

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certified instructor to teach evening/day exam prep classes in MOS Word 2013 and MOS Excel 2013. 
Qualifications:  Applicant must have 2+ years’ experience teaching computer skills. (Required)
                      Applicant must have a current MOS Certification in Word 2013, Excel 2013 or be a Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor.

Microsoft Project 2013 instructor to teach evening/day classes.
Qualifications: Applicant must have 2+ years’ experience teaching adult learners. (Required)
                      Applicant must have 5+ years as a certified Project Manager. (Required)
