Part-Time Curriculum Instructors

Adjunct Associate Degree Nursing and Practical Nursing Instructors: Fall/spring semesters; day and evening and/or weekend. Instructor must hold an active license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of North Carolina, have two years of full-time clinical experience, and hold a Master degree in Nursing (MSN). Teaching experience in Adult Health and/or Maternal-Newborn Health preferred for both positions.

Adjunct Biology Instructors: Spring semester; day and evening. Classes begin January 12. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Adjunct Chemistry Instructors: Spring semester; day and evening. Classes begin January 12. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Adjunct Communications Instructor: Spring semester; day and evening. Classes begin January 12. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Adjunct Developmental English/Reading Instructors: Spring semester; day and evening. Classes begin January 12. Masterís degree in reading, English, or a related subject area preferred. Experience with teaching an integrated course is also preferred.

Adjunct English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Instructor: Classes will begin in January. A masterís degree in TESOL is preferred; however, candidates who have a master's degree in a related discipline with at least a 9-hour certificate in TESOL will also be considered for the position.

Adjunct English Instructors: Spring semester; day and evening. Classes begin January 12. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Adjunct Information Technology Instructors (Computers, programming and web design): Spring semester; classes begin January 12.

Adjunct Mathematics Instructors: Spring semester; day and evening. Classes begin January 12. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Adjunct Spanish Instructor: Spring semester; day and evening. Classes begin January 12. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Spanish required. Teaching experience is preferred.

Nursing Assistant Instructor Ė OCC Curriculum Program

Professional Tutors: Math, English, Reading, and Sciences: Spring semester; day and evening. Classes begin January 12. Masterís degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the subject area required. Tutoring experience is preferred.


Part-Time Continuing Education Instructors

Instructors should have experience teaching and/or training adult students. Some positions require specific experience and/or credentials. Teaching experience in an online/virtual environment is preferred for some positions. All positions are hourly and part-time. See list of open positions.
