Commencement Task Force

Purpose:

To plan and implement the college’s annual commencement exercises.

Financial Aid Appeals Task Force

Purpose:

To hear appeals and provide due process for students concerning awards made or not made and other actions by the Financial Aid staff.

Membership:

To be drawn from a list of "on-call" Grievance Pool members appointed annually by the President

Reports to:

Executive Dean, Student Development and Support
Student Residency Appeals Task Force

Purpose:

To provide due process for students who wish to appeal the decision made by the Admissions staff regarding classification of in-state or out-of-state residency for tuition purposes.

Membership:

To be drawn from a list of “on-call” Grievance Pool members appointed annually by the President

Reports to:

Vice President, Student Learning, Development, and Support
Student Grievance Task Force

Purpose:

To hear appeals from students involved in the formal Student Grievance Procedure outlined in the college Catalog and Student Handbook.

Membership:

Drawn from a List of "On-Call" Grievance Pool Members Appointed Annually by the President

Reports to:

Vice President, Student Learning, Development, and Support
Excellence in Support Services Task Force

Purpose:

To follow guidelines in reviewing nominations for the annual Excellence in Support Services Award and select the nominated support staff member considered to be most worthy of recognition for excellence in service. To consider and make any recommendations deemed necessary for the next Excellence in Support Services selection process.

Excellence in Teaching Committee

Purpose:

To develop and oversee the process for identifying the Excellence in Teaching Award recipient from among full-time and continuing part-time faculty members each year, select the recipient, and communicate that selection to the college community.

Membership:

Chair, Senior-Most member of the Task Force
Four Most Recent Recipients of the Excellence in Teaching Award.

Reports to:

Chief Instructional Officer
Martin Luther King, Jr., Celebration Task Force

Purpose:

To plan, make recommendations, seek necessary approvals, invite participation, and oversee a celebration program for employees and students as well as a covered dish meal for employees in honor and remembrance of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Membership:
