For every online course you take, you MUST complete a course-specific orientation, which explains in detail how that particular course works.  You cannot begin your course until you have completed the orientation!

Your online course orientation may be an on-campus meeting you have to attend, or it may be an assignment you complete online. 

Note: Durham Tech is transitioning from Blackboard to a new system called Sakai. As we phase in Sakai, some of your courses may use Sakai and others may use Blackboard. On the orientation schedule linked above, you can see if your online course will be taught on Blackboard or Sakai. Before beginning (or attending) your course-specific orientation, be sure to complete the Blackboard Tour or the Sakai Tour.
