Important Dates for Spring Semester 2015 Credit Courses

General Registration

During general registration, all advised students can add courses to their schedule using WebAdvisor, Durham Tech’s online system for student information and services.

Open registration for all advised students: November 13 – January 11*

Waitlist function available: November 13 – January 8

Registration is available through WebAdvisor all day except from 1:00 – 1:10 a.m. for daily maintenance and Fridays from 6 – 8:00 a.m. for weekly maintenance. WebAdvisor will remain available for schedule adjustments until Sunday, January 11.

Any applications submitted after Monday, January 5 may not be processed in time to begin classes on Monday, January 12. However, applications submitted between Tuesday, January 6 and Wednesday, March 11 should allow enrollment for Mini-Session II, which begins on Monday, March 16.**

 

Late Enrollment and Advising

Last day to receive Online Advising, by 5 p.m.—  December 19

Last day to submit an enrollment application, by 5 p.m. — March 11**

Last day to take a placement test, arrive by 1 p.m. — January 6

Last day to attend a ConnectSession at 2 p.m. — January 6

January 7-8 are late advising days, the last opportunity to meet with an advisor.  Registration is not permitted if you have not completed an application, orientation, testing and advising by the deadlines.  Please note that by late advising time, course availability is limited. You are encouraged to complete enrollment steps early.

Main Campus late advising hours: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Orange County Campus late advising hours: 1 – 6 p.m.


Tuition and Fees Payment Deadlines

Full payment of tuition and fees is due according to the schedule below.  During the week before classes start, full payment is due daily.  If you do not pay on time, your courses will be de-registered and made available for other students.

If you register the week that begins November 3, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. November 9.
If you register the week that begins November 10, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. November 16.
If you register the week that begins November 17, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m.November 23.
If you register the week that begins November 24, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. November 30.
If you register the week that begins December 1, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. December 7.
If you register the week that begins December 8, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. December 14.
If you register the week that begins December 15, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. December 21.
If you register December 22 – January 4, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. January 4
If you register January 5 – 8, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. the same day.
If you register January 9 – 11, full payment is due by 11:59 p.m. January 11.

Payments may be made online through WebAdvisor all day except from 1:00 – 1:10 a.m. for daily maintenance and Fridays from 6 – 8:00 a.m. for weekly maintenance. Payment may also be made in person at the Cashier’s Window (White Building entrance foyer, Main Campus), from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Mondays – Fridays unless the college is closed.

75% tuition refund deadline for Mini-Session I and 10-week courses (if completed in-person) —January 16

75% tuition refund deadline for Mini-Session I courses (if completed via WebAdvisor) —January 17

75% tuition refund deadline for regular courses —January 23

Last day to receive a “W” for Mini-Session I courses — February 16

Full tuition refund deadline for Mini-Session II courses (if completed in-person) —March 13

Full tuition refund deadline for Mini-Session II courses (if completed via WebAdvisor) —March 15

75% tuition refund deadline for Mini-Session II courses (if completed in-person) —March 20

75% tuition refund deadline for Mini-Session II courses (if completed via WebAdvisor —March 21

Last day to receive a “W” for regular semester courses — March 26

Last day to receive a “W” for Mini-Session II courses — April 16

Financial Aid Disbursements

In the summer of 2014, Durham Tech partnered with Higher One, a financial services company, to disburse funds more quickly and to provide you with a choice about how to receive your disbursement. Read more about Higher One and the changes to the your financial aid disbursement.

The anticipated refund disbursement date for spring 2015 is the end of the fourth week in February.

Please verify your address in WebAdvisor so your check is mailed to the correct address. You may change it using the online form.

It is important to note that any student taking a combination of regular length and second mini-session courses in the same semester will receive two disbursements of funds in the same semester. The college cannot disburse funds for classes that have not yet started.
